CONSUELO’S PLACE

MISSION:

Consuelo’s Place provides non-congregate shelter for vulnerable individuals and families who are transitioning into permanent housing or whose unique circumstances make it difficult to succeed in a congregate setting; and provides life-stabilizing services for those individuals.

VISION:

  • To have achieved our goal where all guests of the Shelter are transitioned into a more suitable, stable or permanent housing situation in 60 days or less.

  • To provide a model to enable homeless men, women and their families to attain safe, affordable housing and meaningful activity so they may return to a more stable and/or productive life.

WHAT WE DO:

Provide wraparound case management to our clients experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and poverty while practicing harm reduction through a trauma informed lens. We average 75-90 clients in house; ranging from infants to the elderly, those with disabilities, families with children, many experiencing domestic violence, sexual trauma, and human trafficking, along with veterans and the LGBTQI+ population.

Consuelo’s Place gives admissions preference to the following: Families with children under 18, over 55, Veterans, and LGBTQI+.

212 total clients (139 adults, 73 children)
